If you have experience the death of a child, parent, sibling, spouse, grandparent, or friend, The Shore Grief Center is here to help you make sense of the grieving process. At The Shore Grief Center, we provide peer-based grief support groups for ages six and up and assist with the highly-personal journey through grief. Our facilitators meet with suicide survivors, bereaved parents, and host a general support grief group in Wake Forest, North Raleigh, and Youngsville.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve
Grief and loss impact our lives in different ways. At The Shore Grief Center, we encourage you each step of the way as you move through grief and ask that you attend one of our groups. Each group is led by a facilitator who has experienced a death and will provide assistance as you begin to imagine what life will be like moving forward. Raleigh / Wake Forest Survivors of Suicide Loss Group
Loss and grief touch each and every one of us at some points in our lives, the Raleigh / Wake Forest Survivors of Suicide Loss group focuses on adults that have experienced the loss of a child, spouse, parents, or someone close from suicide.
North Raleigh Adult Grief Group
Whether it is the loss of a partner or parent, there are many different ways to express grief around the death of a loved one. The North Raleigh Adult Grief Group facilitates grief for any type of loss: health issues, accidental death, or suicide.
Bereaved Parents of Central North Carolina Raleigh / Wake Forest Group
When we experience death, we often do not acknowledge the grief that accompanies our lives. At the Bereaved Parents of Central NC Raleigh / Wake Forest, the group meets to share their grief as parents, grandparents, siblings and caregivers.
Do you have a child dealing with grief?
The Cameron’s Kids Grief Group (ages 6-12) and Save the Teens Grief Group (ages 12-17) are two separate groups available to help facilitate the loss of a family member when dealing with grief as a child. The groups are held when 4-6 individuals express interest.
